World Rescue Mission Uganda is an indigenous non-governmental
humanitarian and development organization that aims to positively contribute
towards improving the living standards and conditions of the most vulnerable
communities in Uganda.
The organization was established in 2020 with its head office in Mbarara City, Western Uganda.
This was created to bridge the humanitarian gap which was being left with the departure of
International Organizations and to foster localization agenda. Our works covers South, the Whole
of Western Uganda and West Nile

To empower the disadvantaged communities to mitigate challenges resulting from social injustices, inequality and poor health
To end challenges associated with humanitarian crises in Uganda through creating an environment where people live in a self-reliance, prosperity and assured of sustainable livelihood opportunities.
- To develop a community-centered response mechanism that can provide information, social support, advocacy and networking for prevention of Gender Based Violence.
- To carry out child protection activities to refugee and host community children.
- To foster social equity in the community.
- To promote health and nutrition by providing relevant preventive and curative response that will empower the communities to live healthy lives.
- To improve access to quality education for all school-age going children.
- To initiate Programmes to assist in rehabilitation and reintegration of street children to their communities.
- To support rehabilitation of ex-combatants and veterans to settle decently in their communities.
- To improve access to clean and safe water as well as sanitation services.
- To promote and defend human rights in the country.
- To respond and mitigate challenges of climate change and support climate-smart livelihood activities.
- To assist communities stricken by hunger to access food and food security Programmes.
- To foster peace building and peaceful coexistence in the communities.
- To advocate for fair policies and laws that affect disadvantaged communities.

- To provide orphanage home services to orphans and abandoned children.
- To assist asylum seekers to access asylum in a dignified manner.
- To process resettlement for refugees to a third country of asylum.

- Community Based Sanitation project funded by Real Medicine Foundation (RMF) in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement. June 2021 – Dec 2023.
- Child protection activities funded by War Child Holland in Kyaka II Refugee Settlement, Kyegegwa District. 2022.
- Sexual Exploitation and Abuse program funded by Empowered Aid in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Isingiro District. 2023.
- Livelihoods and Food Security Project in Yumbe and Hoima districts funded by Transformation Restoration Initiative (TRI). 2024.
- Currently implementing the Information, Counseling and Legal Assistance project in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Isingiro District, South Western Uganda. Funded by Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). 2025.
